A grey day was suddenly so much brighter!

Colleen’s Weekly #Poetry Challenge X 2

A Rainbow Sky
Step into the future
People wait to greet you
Under a rainbow sky
New life begins…
Play
the game
lose your life
spin, try to win
shadows watch your time
old souls play beside you
the game is rigged, know the trick
right hand shake the dice, left hand throw
trick the Gods of what they think they know
the left-hand throw is meant to be slower
the Gods know the left throw to be loaded
they would have to bring out the big guns
to stop what fate has already won
cheers grow loud on every throw
two more throws win the pot
your hand is shaking
the Gods, they smile
to see you
win the
lot

The Sunday Whirl ~ Wordle 504 ~ #Poetry

You seek the rainbow
Sing your song
Stretch with pride
Break free from the closet
Open your eyes
Make a big scene
When you claim the world
They cannot break you
Not when joy runs through you
Like a stick of rock…

WEEKLY #TANKA TUESDAY #POETRY CHALLENGE NO. 213 #EKPHRASTIC #PHOTOPROMPT

The
Raging
Water runs
Bending colour
Rainbow flowing bright
Magic paid the piper
For first colour, dancing light
Black and white would give us a fright
I thank the Gods for colour magic
A world without would be nowt but shadow…

The rainbow bridge from Valhalla
Appeared for a small moment in time
Bathed in orange, the colour to change your luck
Inviting you to take a chance
Walk across, a rare gift from Odin
He is not known for his kindness towards mortals
Do you have the courage to take the first step?
See what Odin has in store
For anyone daring enough to take up his offer
Remember, he is known as the Trickster
Mostly for changing his mind
It would be my luck to have him change his mind
Just as I reach the middle of the bridge
Leaving me God knows where
I would say, beware gifts from the Gods
They are rarely what they seem…

Cover Your Face… #Poetry
Photo Challenge #319

Cover your face
A bright rainbow bleeds into dark clouds
Above old Tower Hill
I remember the Bible promise made by God
He would never drown the world again
Red painted facades telling the coming of a plague
No Bible story this time
A pandemic from China touched
Too many lives lost
Too many more broken
Would that God had thought
to make his promise on a double rainbow
No floods, no disease
What a God He would have made…
