Thursday photo prompt: Choice #writephoto

For visually challenged writers, the image shows a winter landscape, with trees by a stream and rough stepping stones across it.
The blue river runs through high bracken banks
Over ancient moss-covered rocks
Dark trees line the way with long shadows
A peaceful scene you may think.
Take care not to step into the cool water
If you have dark thoughts in mind
The one-eyed soul eater lies hiding
Waiting to take that which belongs to the dark side
His hunger is never quenched, he knows
there are many souls that carry a heavy load
His number must be filled
before despatching his catch
For cleansing, renewal
For the newly born to take their turn
He waits for one who walks the water
Clean, unmarked by time for his own release
When another will take his place…

As dark and brooding as the moors in winter… loved this one, Anita.

Your comments make our day, Diana…
BTW, have I asked which WP theme you use, as it’s wonderful and I’m looking to change ours?

My theme is super old and I’m not sure it’s still supported. The features are pretty limited, but I’m used to it. It’s called “Dawn to Dusk” or “Dusk to Dawn”, one of those. 🙂 Have fun!
