This week has been full of ups and downs, and some of the downs have been spectacularly bad. After everything I have had to put up with the past year, I thought I had beaten the miseries, but it turns out I am human after all. But enough about that…
I have been doing some gardening and I even managed to run the vacuum cleaner around the place, carefully of course. I am almost up to date with summer pruning the bonsai, and they are finally looking really good and growing well.
My new pain meds arrived and first impressions are favourable. I think they are going to help a lot with the pain in my head.
I am not so sure about my eyes however, as the blurring and double vision has been the source of a lot of frustration, stopping me from enjoying what I love best, and that’s my writing.
Somehow I am managing, but really wish there was something they could do. Well, apparently there is, but I am too old and frail for surgery. Their words, not mine.
Next week, I have volunteered to replace the fitted cushion on our favourite stool. I have the fabric, foam and wadding, all I have to do, is assemble it. This involves getting the sewing machine out, which should be fun. It’s been years since I was an upholsterer, so more things to try and remember!
Thanks for listening, love Jaye
