Stone walls
Soldiers stand
Cold winter bites
Deep beneath their feet
Ancient dreaming souls wait
Secrets held by time made old
druid mysteries to be told
Let the world stand ready when they’re found
For magic lives beneath this old worn ground.
What a beautiful poem. I particularly love the last line.

You made this look effortless, Anita. I like the rhyme at the end too. It gives it a solid feel.

I did too, Diana. Anita excels herself sometimes…

A very beautiful poem. My favourite line is the middle one about ancient dreaming souls, I love the mystery and intrigue you have evoked with your lines.
