Some of you may have noticed that we sent a post out as a newsletter the other day. But I wasn’t completely happy with it, there were no bells and whistles. This was when I realisedhow much I have missed sending our newsletters out the proper way.

I say proper, but they should be something to be proud of.  So today, I thought I would try to find a newsletter provider that I could actually use. One of the reasons we haven’t been sending anything out lately is that most of them defeat me. We were with Mailchimp for years, and although it was a degree complicated and confusing, I had managed to master it enough to get by. When complicated turned into impossible, I gave up.

Truth is, I have missed creating interesting newsletters and sharing our news. This was affecting our promotion too, so I bit the bullet and threw myself onto the web.

I tried them all. Kit, Brevo, Mailerlite, and a few more that have slipped from my memory like a bad dream. In desperation, I turned to Mailchimp, only to be turned away because I had cancelled our billing info.

Forced to think outside the box, I wondered about the WP newsletter. Could it be made more attractive?

Turns out it could, and easily. Or it sounded easy.

Sometimes I wish I were more technically minded, for whatever I want to do, it usually sees me coming, and throws all the complicated stuff at me!

So if you spot a newsletter from us any time soon, please let us know what you think?
