If you love me, tell me so

Don’t let black moods overshadow the day

Send me flowers to make me smile

Hold my hand when we walk a mile

Before you close your eyes, kiss me goodnight…

  1. Flowers never fail to make me smile and this poem is exactly the same. Very beautiful the way it unfolds :)

    1. Thank you…

  2. beautiful, we should show our love as often as possible. im still challenged by this form but ill try it out sometime

    1. I think Colleen challenges us all, one way or another…

      1. yeah she does, doesn’t she?

  3. This is so lovely. So, the Gogyohka is based on breaths… No sentences, just quick phrases that only last one breath long – short being the operative word. If you have to inhale to say the next word, then that word or words would belong on the next line. A Gogyohka is really a Tanka poem written the way the Japanese intended. Remember, our syllables are much longer than they are in Japanese. <3

    1. So glad we got it right, Colleen…

  4. Beautiful!

    1. Thank you, Susan…
