Thursday photo prompt: Still #writephoto
Another glorious photo prompt from Sue Vincent!

For visually challenged writers, the image shows a peaceful and still pond, surrounded by green, with sheep grazing in the field beyond. The sky is blue and the branches of the trees are just beginning to show their leaves…
Dark gnarled branches of the old almond tree
Weighed down by time
Reaching towards the still cool pond
Those who pass here will tell you
It has the same feel as Dozemary pool
Stillness, whispering of time lost.
Love that pulled a kingdom down
Knights running in all directions
Looking for the Holy Grail.
So much lost by betrayal
Plans made by the great wizard broken
Will his like ever be seen again?
Are those dark branches reaching
Waiting for something returning?

Wonderful, Anita… and this pool is old enough to have known the age of wizards 😉
