I mentioned Scrivener the other day, and that must have triggered something in my brain. MS Word was still playing silly buggers, they have changed everything, making it very difficult to do anything.
I have tried to learn Scrivener in the past, and although the basics were easy, I never managed to become adept. I am more determined this time, so I found a course on Udemy, and spent the afternoon relearning the system.
It’s not quite as easy as they say it is, at least, my brain didn’t think so, but this was my last chance. I have to make it work, or stop writing.
Later, I was drawn outside. A strong need for fresh air and freedom had me walking around and seeing how everything was doing. Number one son has been taking care of the watering, for which I am so grateful. I know the bonsai are grateful too, so I didn’t find any casualties from the heat.
I found myself trimming the wisteria, its long strands looking just like a mad woman’s hair. Then I tackled the bindweed, something we don’t usually get. It was running all over everything and sending runners all over the floor.
Luckily, I can bend over and touch the floor, so I managed to clear quite a lot. There were two candidates for repotting, something I really must get around to before Autumn creeps up on us.
The hawthorn bonsai has ideas of being a full grown hedge, so I sat at the garden table and pruned it back to an acceptable level. I have probably ruined any chance of it flowering next year, but I can live with that for now…

Love always
Jaye 💕
