This one is just Wow! I am speechless…

One slip, that’s all it took

For my reckless soul to be lost in the void

How will I find it, snatch it back?

All I have in my pocket is a marble,

An old fan with low batteries

What chance did I have in the dark?

My pulse racing, my heart flickering,

like a light bulb about to go out.

Waves of thought accompanied by the chanting

of an old spell remembered from my childhood.

The words echoed in my head

They held no meaning,

No way to find the void, or enter it

I wondered what happens to a person with no soul?

Right now, all I feel is empty,

A knowing that some part of me is missing

I slip the marble back in my pocket

It might come in handy one day…
