I woke up in a ring of fire

Charred faces, eyes glowing

Impish smiles, the sound of teeth

Grinding against bone

Has the devil called my number?

Do I stay locked in this warm embrace?

This hellish furnace

Is there a back door to this nightmare?

Will I awake between fresh white sheets?

Wrists tied to the sides of the bed

The sweet smiling face of a nurse

Telling me everything will be all right

She has no idea what lives inside my head

A seed planted long ago

You will never amount to anything

Hear it long enough, you will believe it

This makes it true

I need to find another back door…
