Stars
Stars collide
Rainbow showers of atoms and oxygen fill the air
We look to the heavens at the long-dead wonder
We hear nothing, no sound reaches our ears
Death is silent.
Birth in the cosmos goes unheard
Unlike the screams of mothers below
Will the child’s life be blessed?
Will the path he treads be smooth?
Will he find love to last a lifetime
Or is it all one big accident like colliding stars…
Do we meet a stranger to let fate lead us
Into a lifetime of indifference?
Should we take notice of those untimely collisions?
Walk on by, choose another unnamed for us
Is it heart or mind that leads us?
Do our eyes deceive us?
Is it beauty that blinds us to what should have been…
