Somehow, we have come up with two haiku this week, and I quite like the first one best…

Ahh, these are so evocative and quite stunning haiku. A pleasure to read them.
Thank you so much, Jude…

Both are beautiful, Anita. I especially love the phrase, “shadow following.” 💗
Thank you, Gwen…
Great work, Anita. The second one really grabs me! Remember, haiku are not philosophical, nor do they deal with generalizations. I would say the first one is a senryu because of the last line, which is kind of witty. The second is haiku, and it’s excellent. I like how this haiku puts me right next to you… I think I can see that shadow. <3
Need more practice, Colleen but loved your comments… 💕
We all need more practice. I figure we’ll all learn this stuff together. And, there’s nothing wrong with writing senryu. <3

Oh goodness, I would hate to have to choose the best one. I tend to like the second one maybe a teensy bit more than the first. It would be splitting hairs.
Good to know, Jan… 💕
Lovely idea, Anita – that you could turn and capture your shadow in a different way; but only under the Moon’s light!
Anita always seems to find the magic… wish I did!
I think you both have a strong sense of mystery and magic 😊
I love that you just said that, Steve…
They are both quite nice. I do like the sense of play between the stars and the water in the first.
Thank you…
