I am instantly reminded
Of Monet’s Garden
A dream like painting
The alley has the same appeal
Who knew a seventy-five-year-old
Would approve of graffiti?
To walk through this alley
Would be like walking through
many minds at the same time
What story
would they leave in my grey matter?

The Sunday Whirl ~ Wordle 510 ~ #Poetry

I watch the train recede
The distance swallowing it like an old film
Fading into the next scene
A dream being played out
Yours, or the film makers, you cannot tell
Frame by frame the space before your eyes
Fills with images you would rather not see
The old shed holds the secret
Again, you must win
The small gold chain you wear
Has become a lead weight
You let your mind lead the way
As you lean against the warm wood of the old shed
you refrain from pulling the gold chain from your neck,
as you touch it, you feel protected
Let the game begin…

Eugi’s Weekly Prompt ~ Wolf Moon ~ #Poetry

Eugi’s Weekly Prompt – Wolf Moon – January 28, 2021

Dark shadows
 broken by the full moon
The howl of the wolf
The whisper of vampires
Let them in, they need only a drop
they will not drain your life
Fear not the wolf moon
That howls into the night
It heralds more than you can dream of…
