The garden tap has been leaking for weeks. I feel guilty every time I turn it on, and I have been desperate to get around to fixing it.
The first thing I did was look for a replacement on Amazon, as ours might be beyond repair. I even ended up sending for two, but on arrival, they didn’t seem right. Wrong-sized connections and all that,
Not that I felt confident about doing the job. Drilling new holes for the bracket could be something I could manage, with the help of my trusty old stool. And if the old faithful electric drill still works.
My next stop was YouTube, as over the years, I have learned how to do so many things, it’s a bit like going to college!
How to fix a Leaky Garden Tap was easy to find, and it did look easy enough, even for me. I had all the right tools, and the stool would be needed, as I still cannot stand up for long. But if I could manage to do this, it would be better than wrestling with a new tap.
I have to approach most jobs like this these days, but this is what passes as fun around here…
Feeling happier now that the plan had been made, it started to rain, and it hasn’t stopped since.
Oh well, I don’t need to use the tap if it’s raining…
