I wanted to check in again this morning, even though my head’s in a mess. My life has been chaotic lately and doesn’t look like getting any better anytime soon.

Our fridge freezer was not repairable, but we were insured, so we had to choose a new one online. Sounds simple, doesn’t it?

Well, it wasn’t. Our kitchen is tiny, so we needed a new fridge that was exactly the same size as the departing one. Give or take a centimetre or two, we managed to find one, but I couldn’t find which way the door opens or if the fridge section was on the top or the bottom. Don’t all rush to tell me I should have just contacted them and asked, for this proved impossible. They don’t answer their phones (too busy!) and you can talk to them on line, but only if you have Snapchat or something. So, I am trying not to wonder what will happen tomorrow when it turns up!

I am having a scan on Wednesday, and not as my family insist, to see if I actually have a brain in there. I am trying very hard not to worry about this, although my doctor seems worried enough for all of us. All I know is this, I am nowhere near as brave as I thought I was, so I could do with all the hugs you have spare…

At the moment, this is what the inside of my head feels like…

  2. Commiserations on the fridge. I went through something similar when our upright freezer died, and for the same reasons.

More importantly, I hope that the scan comes back negative. And here are some summer-scented hugs to keep you going. -MASSIVE HUGS-

  8. I get the fridge thing Jaye… we had similar issues last year but it turned out okay.. will be thinking of you during the week and I hope you have had no need to be concerned. ♥

  9. I say, funny movies are the order of the day… Bringing Up Baby, is one of my favorites! INjoY!!!

  10. Exchanging furniture or household item can be challenging. Most of the things are produced in China since over a decade. Attaching them to European standards isn’t easy. Even though you get guarantees for it. And don’t forget: We are all busy, but only some are in the big business. ;-) Best wishes for a not so busy, and more confortable week! It will be the forth of following fifty this year. :-) xx Michael

    1. Thanks for your support, Michael… hoping it will turn out okay…

  11. Sending great big hugs your way (and some prayers). They were able to change the door for me when they delivered the fridge. Good luck with it and the scan. xo

      1. 💖😘

  12. Like isn’t the correct word for a response to this post. I’m sorry for your troubles, and hope the scan goes OK and that nothing nefarious is found.

On the subject of fridge doors, the usually come so the door can be hung to open either way. I suggest asking the delivery person to do it if it’s wrong.

    1. Good to know, Vivienne… 💖💖

  13. Most if not all refrigerator doors can be hinged on either side. If it is being delivered and set up, just ask if they can switch it. If not, I have never done it myself, but I am betting there’s a YouTube video to give you direction. Hope the coming week is calmer for you.

    1. This week will be a mixed bag, Violet. Hopefully, more good than bad in there… 💖💖
