I saw these in a neighbour’s garden yesterday but cannot find anything suitable in my own garden for this week’s Six on Saturday. There are plenty of buds appearing, so I should be able to show up next week.

Milo had another steroid injection yesterday, as his face and neck are still a bit of a mess. The results of the blood tests finally came in and they were negative across the board, so huge sighs of relief all round!

Late yesterday afternoon, a strange feeling of calm descended on the office and it felt weird, after the week we have had. I took advantage of this calm to finish sorting out the shambles on my desk. I sifted through the pile of paperwork that seems to gather every week, whether I like it or not. Usually, this job leaves me feeling annoyed and rather frustrated, wondering what the hell I was supposed to be doing. Surprisingly, this didn’t happen. I discarded some of it and sorted out the rest into order of importance, and all the while, I felt strangely efficient, even intelligent. I knew I was in charge, and that has been a while…

Fuelled by whatever was happening, I ended up sitting at the computer, investigating our Mailchimp account, the company who handle our newsletters. Something has been wrong for a while, but I haven’t been able to figure it out. Half an hour later, I not only found the problem, I was well on my way to putting it right. I was called away by my caring duties, so I reluctantly left the office, hoping this strange calm will hang around for a while.

And I am thrilled to report that it is still calm in the office today. The sky is a wonderful cornflower blue , the birds have emptied the feeders again and there is sunshine, and everything seems possible. Now that is something to write about!

I wish I could share this amazing feeling with all of you, but wishing you a wonderful weekend anyway!
