A Brand New Week…

We Have a Brand New Week…

Watch as someone ruins it…

All joking aside, though, maybe this will be a good week. I would settle for a reasonable one, anything, really. Just don’t come at me with unsolvable problems, a baseball bat, or awkward situations I haven’t met before.

Let me get on with my life without hitches, free to create my own messes. Or not, as the case may be. I would love to be able to reach Friday, knowing I have made a difference. That isn’t too much to ask, is it?

I keep looking out of my window to my lovely azalea. So small and weak, yet so determined to do what it must. To do this for years, for that is how long I have had it, and not amount to much, except for a brief moment, just before Christmas, when it produces such beauty. I realise that I could be describing myself, apart from the blooming part. Maybe one of these days, I, too, will have my moment and shine.

It will have to get a wriggle on, as time is not exactly a friend of mine these days!

I am determined to finish writing The Mystery of Folly’s End this week so I can start the editing process. I cannot ignore the housework for much longer, so a general blitz could be on the cards, and if nothing else is accomplished this week, I will consider that a perfect week indeed…

  1. One chip (task) off your shoulder at a time and the burden will get lighter. Sounded better when I said it in my head.

  2. I wish you the best for writing. I don’t think the perfect week is possible as all have our ups and downs but I hope you have a great week and it’s as good as it can be.
