Keep Spinning
Something so beautiful, fragile,
We have chosen to represent peace
So soon forgotten
The world continues to spin in darkness
Those who are meant to protect us
Leave heartbreak in their wake
Lives broken, loved ones taken by violence
If only the dove could touch all our hearts
Not just the few
How can we learn
to paint the dark heart with love
We continue to show them by example
The ones that will not see
Drop through the net of peace
Yet the world keeps trying to spin
Under the wings of a snow-white dove…
