What do you see # 33 – 8 June 2020

(For visual challenged readers, the image shown a boy standing next to a Stegosaurus, dinosaur I a park land)
Walking with a friend
I envy my son his dreams
Most nights he walks with dinosaurs
That lie beyond his bed
Through lush green parks
Fields of gold
He calls him red
A gently giant, a vegetable eating friend
No harm can come in dreams I’m told
I worry when a loud thud
hits the ceiling above my head
As if a giant foot fell from my son’s bed…

I love the whimsy of this, Anita. My grandson still lives in a world of imagination. What I wouldn’t give for a little overlap. 🙂

This is a lovely poem. The world of a child’s imagination is wide and wonderful.
Love the twist at the end too!
Thanks for joining in the challenge
