My precious white azalea…

I am linking to Cathy of Words and Herbs, this week, who is hosting this seasonal Week of Flowers…

My azalea has been struggling, after something ate most of its roots last year. It normally flowers around Christmas time, but this amazing flower turned up mid summer.

It looks as though it has turned a corner, as there are new buds appearing every day. I just hope it can survive if the weather gets any worse!

A message from Cathy

“For the fourth year now I am inviting my blogging friends to join me in posting a photo of a flower or two from their 2023 gardens each day for a week. There are no rules, so just one photo (or two or three!) with or without text is fine, and if you leave a link in the comments of my daily post, others will be able to find you and share in the fun! And this year I will start on Friday December 1st, continuing through to Thursday December 7th.

Ooops! a fuse has just blown and all the lights have gone out. I’m off to ring the electrician!

  1. I was thinking the same thing as Cathy, but it’s a lovely bloom and a lovely photo!

    1. My pride and joy, Beth…

  2. Hi there, I am a bit confused by the comments about an iris and a dahlia… It’s an azalea! Anywa, lovely that you are joining me again! (Cathy at wordsandherbs)

    1. I think I mixed up the posts a bit, Cathy…

  3. Nature does a good job, doesn’t it? This is beautiful.

    1. I wish I could grow them, but the snails won’t leave them alone…

Wow! That’s a stunning photo of the Iris.
I’ve never been successful at growing Iris – but I’ve been trying to educate myself in the do’s and don’ts of planting them, at the right depth, in the right spot and more. I definitely could be tempted to have another go next year!

    1. Maybe in a pot? That might work…

    2. Thank you, Cathy… 🌻🌼

What a beautiful iris! Thanks for sharing it. You must ask your neighbour what the secret is! 😃

    1. Although its only next door, her garden doesn’t get as many weeds as us. Maybe the slugs and snails stay my side of the fence…

      1. I saw that I am ‘Anonymous’! That comment was from me, Cathy, at Words and Herbs! LOL!

        1. How did that happen, I don’t think it was something I did…

    1. I ordered six different colours, and this was the only one that grew… but I’m not complaining, Jacquie… it’s gorgeous…

  6. That’s a lovely dahlia 💚

    1. My pride and joy, hopefully there will be more next year…🏵🌸🌺
