Excellent and so true…My quick and clumsy effort…
The writers’ head is like a thoroughfare
where danger and trouble lurks…
where decibel levels reach a pitch
where every part of you hurts.
Uneven pavements like half-formed phrases
await unsuspecting feet,
the perfect plot you thought you had
is only there for the fleet.
That character – so pleased were you,
as you had him ‘nailed’ for sure,
turns out to be a cyclist who didn’t know the score!.Joy (No flowers on request.) xx
