My son and I often discuss the idea of getting lucky
Why it seems some folks have all the luck
While others like myself are still digging in the dirt
Looking for that four leaf clover
My son offers me his blood if it would help
So I scour the spell books
Buy all the paraphernalia, to no avail
I am still scratching in the dirt
Looking for that four leaf clover
To quote the Bible, seek and you will find
So I keep looking, convinced
I will find my own way of getting lucky…

  1. Hope springs eternal! :)

  2. Ha. I wish I were lucky too, Anita. And in many ways I am, but not like my parents who love to gamble… because they always win! Yeesh.

    1. Have you tried rubbing their bellies like Buddha?

      1. LOL. No! But I do have a ceramic Buddha in my bedroom. I’ll try that.

        1. We were only joking, glad to hear you have a ceramic one!

          1. I knew you were joking. Otherwise you would be very strange people. Lol.

  3. I used to envy those with luck until I saw it run out too many times. Good one, Anita

    1. Thanks, John…

  4. Ahh, deeply true, and disillusioning at times. The laws that govern luck, if any, Making your own seems to be the only one.

    1. And thank you for your previous comment, that vanished before I had finished…

      1. I’m not able to delete a comment that’s not on my own post. Must be a glitch.

  5. This is really nice.

    1. Thank you!
