Colleen’s 2020 Weekly #Tanka Tuesday #Poetry Challenge No. 186 #SynonymsOnly
WELCOME TO TANKA TUESDAY!
Anita Dawes picked the two words for you to choose your synonyms from. Opposites are so fun to work with. I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Here are your two words:
“BLESSED & HEX”

Dark
Shadows
Upon me
By evil eye
Sacred ground I seek
Holy blessings I need
With consecrated water
Sorcery follows dark footsteps
Leading me by bewitching shadows
To bury this black curse on hallowed ground…

This was just what Anita needed right now, as she battles her way back to health, and I would like to thank Colleen personally for choosing Anita for this weeks words!

I have only read three poems so far but you are the third to write an etheree this week, including mine. I wonder how many people would choose this format? Is it because Hex is one syllable and that is what you get driven to? Interesting.

Oh, Anita, this is nice and spooky! I can imagine this etheree written as part of a spell in a book. It’s fabulous! Your URL link didn’t work in Mr. Linky. I hunted you down. LOL! I’ve updated the link, so don’t worry. Grab the URL of your post after it has appeared on your blog. I don’t know if WP changed something or what? ❤
