I found a wounded pigeon in my back garden

Thinking it was winded I took it to the shed

Where I had my cat box.

Placing it on a clean towel inside,

I went and made a cup of coffee,

hoping for the best.

A couple of hours later, I took a look

It was standing up ready to fly

Taking the box back out to the garden

I removed the lid and was almost blinded

By a flash of white light.

I watched in surprise as an angel took flight

I heard her say thank you

“I won’t fly as a pigeon any time soon

They are far too heavy…”

AAAAA
