You may have noticed we have been posting some of Anita’s poems lately, and they have been well received.
This is one of mine from 1975…
Rain
The pale blue sky above us
Fresh washed with Nature’s tears
The flower heads are bent over
As if by passing years.
Over kissed with rain
They cannot lift their heads
To seek the sunshine shining
Softly on the flowerbeds.
We too suffer life’s showers
Our backs bend with the strain
But unlike fragile flowers
We always survive the rain…

I love that, Jaye. a simple verse with a very powerful image at its core.
Thank you so much, Someone… and written so long ago too…
