On the anger spectrum
Mine would have reached the pinnacle
The beam in my eye had turned red
I had lost all reason
My breath was that of a dragon
When I discovered my husband
in bed with my sister
my heart was torn as I stood staring
mouth open at the bundle inside my best sheets
there was no way for him to tweak the lie
I knew would come from his mouth
to fit the situation
This time I had him red handed
with the bit between my teeth
I tore the sheets from the bed
only to find my birthday surprise
Why had I thought the worst of them?
My mind felt the punch, the invisible bruise
What kind of small minded box
had these thoughts come from?
