That crazy heat has left us a little like that sleepy cat.
No energy in body or mind and no idea or desire of what to do about it. I thought once everything cooled down, it would be business as usual, but no. Nerves are slowly recovering from being pushed to their limit and feel fragile at best.
To be fair, I have tried to do things, but the simplest of jobs leave me exhausted, and one of these things actually backfired. Not really my fault, but it will be me who tries to put it right, which wouldn’t normally be a problem, been there and have a selection of T-shirts. These days though, I am becoming a little tired of how hard it is some days just to keep treading water.
It is a lot cooler today, and determination has just popped his head around the door, so I might just achieve some progress this afternoon!
I hope you all have a better day too!
It’s been nice to cool down a bit, but it’s going to take a while for me to get back into the swing of things. I always feel like I “should” be able to get things done after a heatwave, but it usually takes me a couple of days to get back into the swing of things.

Stay cool if you can. Heat saps strength. We have over 100 for the next ten days.

Indeed.
We navigated 18th & 19th by following the advice on how to get through the heat wave. We got lucky though, no fires in our area.
20th & 21st we felt like we’d been punched and shook up all ways; today still a bit drained.
There’s always a price to pay.
Interesting point: Pre-heat wave our local Facebook warnings were crammed with deniers scoffing and saying it was only summer and blaming alarmists. They have been silent since the 19th. Didn’t even respond to searching questions.
Take care you guys.
Nature always has the final say.

I’m glad the heat has broken and a bit of determination is peeking around the corner. I hope you have a productive day, or a day of just relaxing is good too. 🙂

No chance of that just yet, too much to catch up on! Soon though…

Know how you have felt… We have been out watering at 5am to beat the sun’s heat… And my cat found a cool spot in the hedgerow to cool down… It was stifling indoors and I could have joined him at one point 🙂 It was only a couple of days, we have had drizzle today and much, much cooler thankfully in the midlands 🙂
