I flick through the pages of my mind
The words strange,
as if from another in a parallel universe
A gift from one mind to another
With no way of giving thanks
I am grateful for the shared wisdom
And dutifully write each word as given
I know there to be more than one sender
Some better than others
I cannot afford to ignore
even the smallest word sent
For fear of offending
I have no wish for this magic exchange to stop
