The weather here in the UK isn’t getting any warmer, and they have threatened us with a serious drop in temperatures this week. We haven’t had to get the blankets out yet, but it could happen!

We sincerely hope that everyone can manage to keep warm and safe, wherever you are!

  1. Frigidly beautiful photos, Jaye. Stay warm.

    1. Don’t worry, I will. It is snowing today, so maybe there will be more photos…

  2. Those are some photos, Jaye.

    1. Well, there is snow and ice all over England, but not down here, as blooming usual…

      1. Life in the South.

  3. Nice pics

  4. First we have unseasonally warm, then we have unseasonally cold. Is it too much to ask for unseasonally average? :D … hope you are all safe and snug and warm. :D

    1. We are safe and reasonably warm, Widds as we hope you are. It’s getting more and more difficult though, this is a very old house and expensive to heat!

  5. We woke to -9 C this morning. Brrrr

    1. These are terrible temperatures for arthritics, too.
I need to keep warm, or I seize up completely!

      1. I have the same issue with the cold.

        1. Good job I don’t have to go out much, that’s all I can say…

Incredible photos, Jaye. It’s mighty cold in my part of the world. And – I sleep under several blankets. 😊

    1. I am seriously considering getting an electric blanket, before hyperthermia sets in…

  7. Those photos are amazing! We are definitely in the frigid temps here in Texas. Trying to stay warm.

Whoa! That ice on the mushroom is crazy. That could be the cover of a magazine, beautiful.

    1. Glad you liked it!

  9. What beautiful photos! It’s cold here, but not too much longer. I hope your cold snap passes with ease and the sun smiles on you at the other end. :-)

    1. I think temperatures here will return to normal next week, fingers crossed!

      1. Fingers crossed here too.

  10. It’s been arctic here too. -12C two nights ago, and haven’t been above freezing since.

    1. -12C… that is cold! We have -single numbers and that’s bad enough…

      1. I’m afraid to find out what plants may have perished. ☹

        1. That thought is haunting me too, Audrey… although, I have a Japanese quince that is quietly going crazy. I have never seen so many buds!

          1. My quince had buds and a few flowers before the freeze. Don’t know how it is now.

            1. Like the camelia, quince tend to drop their flowers if conditions are not right. Hopefully, not all of them!

  11. I love your photos! It’s -14°C here, 6°F. We’ve about 10 inches or so of snow, and we’re under a weather chill advisory. Luckily, I have a cat keeping me warm and some nice tea. :D

    1. and we thought we were cold! -14 is terrifying!

      1. Today, it’s -19°C. 😱

    1. It does doesn’t it…

  13. It’s gotten chilly here, too (West Texas). We woke up to -12C weather and wind. Brrr. I hope it warms up there. Beautiful pictures!

  14. Beautiful photos, but I’m sorry about the cold. We’re still unseasonably warm, but cooling off this week.

    1. not too much I hope, Dan…

      1. It was 16°f (-9°c) this morning. Not horrible compared to the midwest, but a big change from 47.

  15. We are sitting here at 2 degrees above zero…
