WEEKLY #TANKA TUESDAY #POETRY CHALLENGE NO. 231, #THEMEPROMPT

This month’s theme is:

“Discovery”

Find
myself
on the page
the printed word
telling my dark past
turn the pages slowly
hold the book to a mirror
see myself for all that I am
ink marks on fresh white paper, that’s me
character in a paperback novel…

  1. Wonderful review of Collens works. I, too, am a huge fan of hers. She is such an angel.

  2. I love this. Truth is stranger than fiction, right?

    1. Always!

  3. Sometimes our lives do feel like we are characters in a paperback novel, Anita. This is so true. <3

    1. I thought so too, Colleen…

  4. We carry all the marks of our past in our skin. Sometimes it can be scary, but as you said, turn the pages!

    1. Thank you, Elizabeth…
