Colleen’s 2020 Weekly #Tanka Tuesday #Poetry Challenge No. 179, #ThemePrompt

This week’s theme is:

“How far that little candle throws his beams! So shines a good deed in a weary world.”

― William Shakespeare, The Merchant of Venice

What

You do

To one soul

You do to me

Good deeds to rebound

Darkness lit by hopes flame

Keeping the world in balance

Light travelling through space and time

Brushing the world in warm morning glow

Let the beam of love in your eyes ever shine…

  1. “what you do
    to one soul
you do to me”…so very well said. And appropriate for our times. Nicely done.
