trilogy

Well, an idea, anyway. Something I didn’t expect to happen, not just yet as my head has been crammed full of other, less interesting things of late.

My brain does this to me sometimes and I have no idea where these things come from, but I am always grateful for the input!

The new idea is to relaunch my mystery thriller trilogy as a box set. Other writers have done this and had favourable results, so why on earth not?

As usual, I don’t have a clue how to do this, so Google will be hearing from me today…

Unless anyone listening has any experience of this?

  1. […] I’d like to ask Marilyn Armstrong, Diana Wallace Peach, Amy Reade, Charles Yallowitz and Jaye Marie to join in…if they would care to share their first posts […]

  2. Sounds a fabulous idea but I don’t actually know. :-(

  3. I released the 4 volumes of my Herbert West Series as a “box” set on KDP and Smashwords last November. It wasn’t too bad putting the document together, since all 4 already existed as properly formatted docs. I made sure to include the individual cover images and create a linked table of contents just for the 4 novels, not all the chapters. In fact, I made sure to delete the toc’s from the docs before I copied them into the big doc for the set. My box set is ebook only, not print. I’m not sure it would be worth the effort to do a print one.

    1. Thank you so much for this, Audrey. Did the box set sell any better than the individual books?

      1. Yes, but then it’s priced at $2 less than the individual books collectively.

        1. Right!

  4. I’ve never written a book, so I’m not entirely sure how you go about releasing a box set, but I hope it goes well for you. :)

    1. Thanks Bun…
