Tilly the tuna did not know
What the future had in store
As she cavorted on the ocean floor
With friends : carp and minnow.
She was caught and taken to the factory
With the rest of the tuna family
Some to be pickled in brine
Others preserved in oil
Next time you open a can, have a care.
Tilly the tuna is somewhere in there.
