The Final Door – #poetry – #JuneWriting

Night Owl Poetry - Dorinda Duclos

She didn’t want to do it, but had no other choice

He took away her soul, he’d never claim her voice

So many wasted hours, spent in strife, discord

Too many days of bitterness, falling on her sword

Knew the time had come, to get out, make a new start

And as the final door closed, so did her broken heart

June Writing Prompt – And as the final door closed, so did her heart – Day 14/30
