Poetry: Behind A Smile

Sometimes life is hard and we often put a smile on our faces and pretend all is well when we aren’t.  Sometimes those who are in the biggest pain have the biggest smiles and we should all take the time to be more mindful of those around us and see if our friends and family really are well, and not just hiding their feelings behind a smile.  I’ve not had the best time over the Christmas and New Year holiday. 😦  And unfortunately I’ve had some moments when I’ve felt a lot like crying. 😥  But in times like this I write poetry and this poem today was born of a feeling of great sadness and me desperate not to give into it and cry (even though sometimes it’s better to just cry it out and then feel better!).  I hope you like this poem regardless and let me know…
