Love is a journey through waters and stars,
through suffocating air, sharp tempests of grain
Love is a war of lightning,
and two bodies ruined by a single sweetness…
Carnal Apple by Pablo Neruda
Between wake and sleep I feel the brush
of your hand as cold as winter’s breath,
glimpse you in lightning strokes through my window.
I hear your foot steps in the hall echoing departure.
So that you may see what is left I’ve etched
your eyes to mine., souls dismembered,
scattered like dried flowers.
Journey where gravity pulls you,
through wild tempests of wind or like teardrops
pooling at the hollow of my throat.
Fade into dreams like autumn leaves or the
swaying limbs of weeping willows,
conscious fingers of stars with eyes
that shimmer like a frozen pond.

Eerily beautiful!
