So many things we’d like a do-over for – if we could change the beginning, we’d spend half our lives going back.
I’m glad my mother drummed into me that you can apologize for something unkind you said, but you can never make the person UNhear it. It has saved me many a time. Better to freeze and think it through, than to do permanent damage – which is much too easy to do.
