In his (note pronoun) day, old age in any kind of health was rare, and so it seemed magical and wise. In our day, when it may only mean survival, its wisdom is seldom asked for.
Enjoying ‘The Old Man’ – John Lithgow and Jeff Bridges seem so vital – even though we know the latter may not be.

Old age and wisdom don’t seem to belong together these days, which is a shame. I just hope I don’t lose all of my marbles!
