Hospitals are uncomfortable places to be at the best of times, but especially now.
You turn up for your appointment to be greeted by a masked member of staff sitting at a desk which has no computer monitor, phone or writing utensils on it, just a box of masks plus two bottles of sanitizer and all they can ask is where you have to be.
‘Please wear one of our masks,’ he said, despite the fact I was wearing one,. The hospital ones are one size which dangles under my chin so I had to tie loops on the sides.
Making conversation, I asked if he’d had his jab yet to which he replied no. I was surprised as I thought all front line staff were priority, and he told me he couldn’t decide whether to have it or not. I nearly emptied the sanitizer bottle then made my way…
