This is my last post until after Christmas, as I’ll be busy until the 27th December. I’ll answer any comments when I get home from work, but after that I’m going to have a bit of a break from blogging as for quite a bit of the time I’ll have to be in that place I don’t want to be – in the kitchen.

I checked what was trending on Twitter yesterday, and there’s now a hashtag and many witty statements regarding panic buying (one bright spark wondered why anybody would want to stockpile lettuces, lol). Apparently there was a mile-long queue at 07:00 outside Marks and Spencer’s Food Hall at Tyneside yesterday, and indeed in many other supermarkets across the country.
