Today’s quirky little poem was inspired by a prompt from my ever faithful crafty poet book. The idea, if my memory serves me correctly, was to create some surprising yet fitting metaphors to describe an old flame.

Metaphorically Connected

You are my tiramisu

my Talisker (no ice)

my strident starling

my mystifying sycamore

my comfy country pub

my roaming Rhododendron

my tough tiger stone

my Iguacu Falls
