Or what are you giving up for Lent?
Last week I reached the point of being officially fed up with just about everything.
The weather, the Internet, my health and my progress. Or rather the lack of it!
I have been trying to conjure up some of the magic I know should be lurking around here somewhere, but it’s proving to be elusive. That cute baby elephant is still in the corner of my office, taunting me every time I decide to sit on my writing chair, only to have nothing happen.
My desk is piled high with notes, and in a way, they let me know I’m not failing at everything!
Well, it is a start, isn’t it?
Just lately, I have found myself on that slippery slope that leads to depression, running the risk of swapping that cute blue pachyderm for my old friend Jessie.
Much as I still miss him, for it was like having a faithful four-legged friend again, I can’t afford to welcome him back. So my new plan must work.

For over a week now, I have been refusing to make switching on the PC the first thing I do every morning. I am choosing to start the day in my writing corner, as I did last year.
Not much writing has happened yet, just more and more notes, a blog post and general observations.
If the magic is still here, I know it will surface if I am stubborn enough.
On the general work front, I am still trying to replace that horrible subscription pop-up on our site with a far more civilised landing page in the sidebar. I wanted to do this with Mailerlite, but what happened there is another story entirely!
