    Did you just hear my laugh?
    I’m usually a ‘less is more’ kind of person. I do agree that detailed sex/gore and explicit torture are not the way to become a best-seller (although I realize there are readers who thrive on that sort of rubbish…) As for skipping pages, I rarely do. I appreciate beautiful writing, as long as it doesn’t interrupt the flow of the story. If that happens too often, I’ll stop reading it altogether. Mostly, I finish books I start because I’m fussy in what I read. Being a writer, I fully sympathize with all the hard work involved in putting a book together, but it brings huge rewards, mentally and physically. I HAVE to write every day, even if it’s only in my daily diary, but the last part of the current book is taking a time to finish…A loud squib might be the answer?!. Cheers. x
