What would you do in these circumstances ?


Regular readers know I love dogs and as a rule they love me but sometimes some people take the p155.
Our doorbell rang and a neighbour two doors down was at the gate. I knew immediately what he wanted.
He’s going on holiday for ten days and needs someone to look in and see to his dog.
The dog is elderly, has serious mobility issues, is rarely taken out and has a lousy owner.
I feel sorry for it as I watch it struggle to cross the road and collapse.
He doesn’t carry or help it, just drags it along on its lead behind him.
I think it is cruel to let the dog suffer, but can do nothing.
He can’t or won’t put it in kennels if one would take it.
By all accounts, he always does this and relies on other people.
