“When are you going to forget about him and move on with your life?” Addison asked Gloria.
Gloria didn’t look at him. She kept her head straight. The light of the setting sun was hitting her squarely in the face. Behind her sunglasses, her eyes moistened with tears. “I can’t,” she said dejectedly. “I can’t forget about him and just move on. I love him, Addison.”
“But he doesn’t love you, Gloria. Can’t you see that? He’ll never leave his wife for you.”
“No, you’re wrong,” Gloria muttered. “He loves me. I know he does.”
“He loves his wife’s fortune more.”
