My Poems

I have seen with dreamy eyes
Sang with a husky voice
Watered with trembling hands
But I’ve kept watering and singing
And watching those fuzzy vignettes
Glide across my unwonted thoughts
That divide the scenes of my pedantic life.

I have seen with dreamy eyes
Sang with a husky voice
Watered with trembling hands
That heave today and weave tomorrow
In bright coloured threadings
Stringing these doubts and dissolving them
Like ice upon a lava sea but kindler and gentler
In semblance of a kiss upon a lover’s brow.

I will one day sing in your great halls
All that I’ve seen with dreamy eyes
The husky voice translated
into a scintillating melodious chorus
You’ll remember in your slumber parties
And haul yourselves into my lush garden
Watered with trembling hands
To hear me sing again.
