I do not have a teaching degree, nor any other degree for that matter. But what I do have is some common sense inherited from my father. This common sense caused me to be in direct opposition to what happened last night.
We were invited to our local cathedral where 5 school choirs were battling it out to win local recognition, and of course a trophy. It was all in aid of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices charity. Tickets were £10, but we paid up gladly as one of our granddaughters was taking part. Our family were allowed 5 tickets, so I’m assuming that each child there had a similar amount of relatives present. The cathedral was full to bursting, so this must have been so.
As an aside, I don’t know about the rest of the country, but in my granddaughter’s school they reward losers in a race on Sports…
