Calling Time?

As you have probably noticed, everything is far from right.

But I’m not ready to quit just yet, (getting pretty close though).

Giving up on anything has never been an option, even when life would be easier if I did.

But, it could be time, time to stop experimenting. To stop seeing if this or that would work better, or pretending everything is hunky dory.

Because most of the time, it just isn’t.

At our time of life, everything should be sorted. We should be moving forward, not desperately trying to understand where it all went wrong

Having said all of that, one of these days our ducks will magically begin to fly in a straight line…

I hope everyone is having a much better week than me… 💖💖

We of sane mind must stick together and not allow ourselves to be intimidated by dictators like Trump et al…. I am 79 and will not give into the madness….xx

I understand, Jaye. It reminds me of the saying about ducks in a row. “I don’t have my ducks in a row, and in fact I’m sure one of them is a pigeon.” Hope that made you grin.

With all the uncertainty in the world and the advance of all the Dictators with a new rise in fascism and hate, I don’t think any of us can be happy or feel secure. My mental health has taken a downturn because I can’t cope with the total lack of ‘Love’ coming from any direction, and the knowledge that what America does today, we will do tomorrow. Hugs

I do try not to listen to the news, but the enormity of it all filters through somehow. I keep hoping that life in general will feel a lot better when the weather cheers up. Don’t let the buggers grind you down, is my motto these days, David…

THERE IS A SICKNESS RUNNING THROUGH SOCIETY WHICH LEFT UNCHECKED COULD WELL BECOME A PLAGUECAPABLE OF LEAVING FEW SURVIVORS. NOT THE WORLD I WANT FOR MY GRANDCHILDREN WHOSE SKIN IS NOT AS WHIT AS MINE BUT WHOSE HEARTS ARE BETTER AND KINDER. HUGS

Sorry your week isn’t going well. It’ll soon be next week, which might be better.

I agree with the thought that at our time of life everything should be sorted. I have problems, too, that are worrying me.

I think of my grandmother who had a lovely old age. She loved with her youngest daughter and didn’t have to worry about things like housework. She did cook, though.

Her children and grandchildren were all settled with no serious financial or health problems. We all loved her dearly (although we didn’t mess with her) and visited often. When I was at school, I visited every Saturday for lunch, after meeting my friends in town.

    I wish I had her worry-free life.

I would say her old age was worrying free.
