Why does Learning Hurt?

You guessed it. I tried to do something yesterday, and unfortunately, I made a pig’s ear out of it.

I have since learned that it wasn’t my fault. What I was trying to change didn’t have that capability.

Now, in order to accomplish what I want, I must make other changes and then try again.

Or maybe not. Perhaps I am too old and should leave well enough alone?

We need to mistakes in order to improve. If we don’t know what’s wrong, we can’t put it right.
It’s not a cliché to say, ‘We learn through our mistakes.’
I understand that it can be hard, but you must believe that you can learn, no matter how old you are.

It’s a case of having to or settle for second best.
That will never do, Vivienne… 💖

My second question was, why do we put ourselves through it?

Learning is particularly painful for me when it involves tech. The digital world is changing all the time and each new book I publish involves a learning curve that nearly drives me mad. And don’t get me started on marketing!
    I really don’t enjoy learning.

I often wonder if anyone really enjoys learning these days, especially when it involves tech?
Maybe we have to be mad in the first place?

Chuckles… I feel I’ve spent much of my life trying to change bits of me that didn’t have the capability, Jaye!
