Guns in the US culture is one thing. The proliferation of these lethal weapons in the light of some many mass killings is quite another.
There are those who have mixed it up with all manner of other issues and people are dying because of it.
Trying to get into the mindset is an almost impossible challenge.-
How much worse does it have to get before they see sense and ban them?

I fear, a lot worse. The divisions are bad and getting visceral.
It seems the USA is getting closer to that crossroads many a nation has faced over the centuries where the divisions become irreconcilable and the nations tears into itself.
I’ve read articles in respectable journals (our Guardian for one) discussing the possibility of the USA going down the same path as Northern Ireland suffered in the last third of the 20th century.
